News of the Week

Movie Night

This past week Rebel Vibez Gaming held their first Official Movie Night. The movie that was chosen was Central Intelligence. Before the movie was chosen our Community Leader, Tay, held a vote for everyone. It started off with the vote on the genre and then the movie itself. Once the day of the movie our Vice President alongside the Community Leader made sure everything was working fine as well as the Voice Channel for Movie Night. Once the time came we announced the start of the movie. We had a decent attendance for Movie Night and can’t wait for our next one!

Events Merged Together

This past Friday we were on schedule to start Guys Night and Ladies Night when Country approached me about merging the two events together due to lack of ladies attending Ladies Night. With that said we have decided to merge the two events into one weekly community game night. This comes as we are lacking the attendance of ladies into our Ladies Night. So if we want to resume Ladies Night we need the support of other Ladies in the community to participate and please help bring more members into our awesome community so that we can hold more events.

New Council Member

This past Sunday we had voted on bringing in a new Council Member. This member is no other than NinComPoop. NinComPoop can be seen on different days in the Community VC playing games with all of us. He will be taking on the role of Head of Marketing as well as helping us on the website team where he will be posting Game Walk Throughs and Guides.

Get to know a Staff Member

This week we will get in contact with Swampass2010! Swampass2010 and I go back about 20 years and have been best friends ever since. SwampAss2010 was one of the first members of Rebel Vibez Gaming when we first opened in 2022 and is still here today. Now it is time for you all to get to know him.

So, can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

Well I’m from Oklahoma and I love being around friends and family and I love video games my video game preferences are sports games and I like call of duty zombies as well as 7 days to die I am a school bus driver in real life I like making new friends and chilling in lobbies even if we aren’t playing the same game lol I’m the most loyal nicest person you’ll ever meet unless given a reason not to be

So why did you decide to come over to Rebel Vibez Gaming?

Well my best friend Rebel11Six is the leader/founder of the community and he suggested I give it a shot to be part of a community and so I tried it out and loved it and never left lol

Ain’t that the truth. Can’t get rid of you. What was the first game that got you into gaming?

Geez I’m not sure but I’m gonna go with need for speed underground 2

What other hobbies do you enjoy when you aren’t gaming?

Fishing hanging out with friends bonfires sports

Sounds like a lots of fun! As the Head of Security, What are your expectations in Rebel Vibez Gaming and where do you see this Community going?

My expectations are for everyone to have a good time in the community while being respectful to each other and of course obeying the community rules and regulations it makes my job easier as well as keeps the community happy and fun to be in

DID YOU KNOW…that Nintendo use to be a playing card company? Nintendo, once known as Nintendo Koppai, founded in 1889 by Fusajiro Yamauchi, use to sell and distribute Japanese playing cards. After gaining popularity he had to hire more assistants for mass production. In 1933 Nintendo Koppai established a general partnership and changed its name to Yamauchi Nintendo & Co. Then changed its name again in 1953 to Nintendo Playing Card Co. Ltd. In 1962 Nintendo became a public company which then lead it to changing to its now current name, Nintendo & Co., Ltd where it then started selling games along with playing cards. It wasn’t until 1975 when they acquired distributing rights to the Magnavox Odyssey for the Japanese Market. This then lead them to publishing their own console in 1977, Color TV-Game 6 which had six programmed games.
