News of the Week

This past week we have seen some new members show up into our community as well as form some new concepts in the community. Randy and myself have started a new thing during the week that we shall name “Music Daily”? I don’t know what to call it, but during the week days we jump into the Music VC and jam out all day. This has become a daily thing for us around 9:30am CST we jump into the VC and jam out. If anybody wants to join us just go ahead and jump right in. We listen to all sorts of music so don’t be afraid to get your “T-Swizzle” on if you must!

Get to know a Staff Member

Today for Get to know a Staff Member, we dive into an interview with our newest Council Member, ImFloridaMan! ImFloridaMan and I go way back in time. We have been friends since I believe 2006/2007 time frame. So, let’s get to know our new Administrative Officer, shall we?

So, can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

Well, Im 28 turning 29 on June 26th. Married to my beautiful Puerto Rican wife and have a family with her of 3 kids. Im a Retired Owner Operator Truck Driver, I now route and dispatch for southern grocery store chain now. Console gamer turned to PC Gaming, Started on Playstation then later built my PC, activaley building a new one. I love FiveM Roleplay, and if Im not playing FiveM Im usually playing WWE 2K25, Delta Force or Destiny 2. Im just getting into Marvel Rivals thanks to Rebel Vibes. I listen to all music but Heavy Rock music is my preference, favorite bands include Lost Society, Disturbed and Demon Hunter. Hardcore wrestling fan and movie lover.

So why did you decide to come over to Rebel Vibez Gaming?

Honestly mainly our talk you and I had, when I was wanting to get back into a gaming community. I took a year break after I shut down my last community not being able to maintain what needed to be maintained with constantly driving trucks, was just playing Five M that whole time and I had already joined Rebel Vibes last summer to support you and we had that talk about how I was basically looking for a community to play games I play that other Five M players don’t normally play.

Well, we are definitely glad to have you! What was the first game that got you into gaming?

Brother thats a tough one, I’m basically 2000’s kid I was born in 1996, so my first introduction to gaming was the PS2 when I was 9 back in 2005 I believe. The games my dad bought me was Lego Star Wars (the original one), Smackdown vs Raw, and Midnight Club 3. But I think I played Lego Star Wars first and the most and I had played games before then but nothing like this, maybe 30 minutes at my cousins house or my buddy would let me use his old game boy color to do Pokémon battles over the game link cable, god those were the days.

What other hobbies do you enjoy when you aren’t gaming?

My big one is coding, I was forced to learn Lua, how to read and edit Javascript. Then comes cooking, one thing I really enjoy is grilling and using my smoker. Especially Steaks! Lastly I enjoy designing t-shirt designing. I have a small shop I run called Syndicate Designs

Sounds interesting! So here at Rebel Vibez Gaming you hold the Administrative Officer position. How is that going and what are your expectations here at Rebel Vibez? Where do you see the Community going?

So far I love it, the community is wonderful. Really thankful for everyone accepting me with open arms. Expectations I have are simple I just wanna help where I can, I want to ensure that everyone feels safe and comfortable. I do not tolerate bullying of any kind. I want to hear the community’s suggestions and let the voices of the community be heard and I believe the future of this community is solid if we stick to that. Leadership is fantastic, the staff is wonderful and wants to do whats necessary and thats what I like to see.

Do you have anything you would like to say before we end this?

Yeah two things one I stream on twitch and Facebook, and two I would like to make a request for the bulletin this week. Song of the week to represent my fellow 2000’s kids with Linkin Park – Numb

Random Facts

DID YOU KNOW…that Grand Theft Auto 1 was created from a glitch? Back in 1995 he developers were originally working on a game called “Race’N’Chase” where the original idea was that you could pick either a cop or a criminal in multiple game modes in an open world concept. You could either race or end up in police chases. However, a glitch in the game caused the police to be more aggressive to the point where the police were ramming you off the road entirely. It became a “life or death” type situation within the game. The developers were having so much fun that they decided to turn that glitch into a game. That is when they decided to scrap Race’N’Chase and turn into what is now GTA1.

Song of the Week

This week’s song of the week, as requested by our Administrative Officer ImFloridaMan, is a song about insecurity while breaking under pressure. It’s a classic from the 2000’s! It is none other than Numb by Linkin Park! Let’s all take a listen.
